I am forcing myself to go outside for my ~emotional and mental wellness~ but I have been having a hard time dealing with it lately so I’ve made it as far as my balcony.
Me and Pinky are enjoying the nice weather. My Pennyroyal seeds are growing nicely, but I have not been watering them. They’re mostly getting water from the air conditioner drippings is that bad?
As always, my morning glories are here again for the summer. This year they invited themselves. I was traumatized by bugs and too many plants last summer to keep alive last summer so I didn’t plan on sowing anything.
I googled bug repelling plants and decided on Pennyroyal because it is a minty plant and I love the name. Naturally I think of the herbal properties of Pennyroyal, which are thought to help stimulate menstrual cycles. I learned the exact word for this… I forgot, but I have to know so you can know, too.
brb.
Emmenagogues are herbs which stimulate blood flow in the pelvic area and uterus; some stimulate menstruation. Women use emmenagogues to stimulate menstrual flow when menstruation is absent for reasons other than pregnancy, such as hormonal disorders or conditions like oligomenorrhea (light menses).
Some say the tea is an abortifacient (likely to terminate a pregnancy.) You may have heard the song “Pennyroyal Tea” by Nirvana.
The reason I chose Pennyroyal as my bug-repelling herb this summer. It has purple blooms as well, which you know I always love.
Do you go hard researching the biological, metaphysical, and media-related information about a plant before or after you plant it?
Now Pinky is trying to catch a bee and I am cowering from the bee and the potential aftermath of such a situation as I work on some graphics for a bee-related design I’m creating.
Ironic, no?

Bless my Macbook Pro for letting me do this entire post with music playing and lots of battery-destroying shenanigans with like only a sip of battery left.
A lantern fly just landed on me I am done with outside forever.
